DC Luxury Builds is a finish carpentry, handyman, and renovation consulting business built on thirty years of hands-on craftsmanship. We work directly with homeowners, builders, and real estate professionals throughout the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County, bringing experience, skill, and reliability to every job.
We believe in doing the work right, approaching every project with the precision and professionalism it deserves, and giving every client and trade partner a team they can trust.

Meet David Coleman
Owner/Founder
Dave Coleman grew up watching his uncles renovate the family rental property. At fifteen he was part of the crew that built the family log home. He was then trained formally under Joe Vanderzalm of Vanderzalm Construction in Niagara Falls, Canada. Dave spent summers learning new home construction, full renovations, and the finish carpentry that would become his signature. Those early years laid a foundation that no classroom could replicate.
After captaining the NCAA men's varsity hockey team at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and earning a Bachelor of Business Management, Dave spent seven years at Stanley Black & Decker, rising to National Account Channel Manager, representing DeWalt across Canada. That chapter gave him something most craftsmen never develop: a deep understanding of the business side of the trades.
Dave went on to appear in four HGTV productions. His most substantial role came over three years as lead carpenter and project manager on Renovation Island with Bryan and Sarah Baeumler, overseeing crews from the US, Canada, and the Bahamas across a full resort renovation in South Andros, including 20 hotel rooms, four custom villas, and eight decks. He later served as project manager for the Baeumlers' personal residence in Wellington, Florida.
Today Dave brings all of that experience directly to homeowners, builders, and real estate professionals across the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County, personally, on every job.

Meet Amanda Sloan
Owner / Director of Operations
Amanda began her journey into real estate at the young age of 19, managing seven luxury high-rise apartment buildings in the Northeast. Her portfolio included both residential and commercial spaces, where she handled everything from daily office operations and financial accounting to leasing units and leading building maintenance crews. Amanda’s hands-on experience with large-scale renovations and meticulous attention to detail seamlessly transitioned into her current focus on residential renovations. These early experiences laid the foundation for her exceptional ability to oversee complex projects and deliver outstanding results.
Before joining DC Luxury Builds, Amanda owned and operated a web development and marketing company specializing in boutique luxury fashion. This experience not only honed her skills in client relations and project execution but also developed her keen eye for aesthetics and detail. The parallels between the fashion space and the design space allowed Amanda to seamlessly transition her expertise into the luxury residential construction industry, where style, innovation, and functionality are paramount.
With a passion for creating elevated living spaces, Amanda continues to bring her dedication and expertise to every project, ensuring that each renovation reflects her clients’ unique visions while exceeding expectations.
