Owner/Founder
Dave Coleman, Founder of DC Luxury Builds, has a rich background in renovation, rooted in his childhood experiences working alongside his uncle, Joe Vanderzalm of Vanderzalm Construction, in Niagara Falls, Canada. Dave pursued his Bachelor of Business Management at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, where he also captained the NCAA men’s varsity hockey team.
Dave’s professional journey began in sales with Stanley Black & Decker, where he rose to the position of National Account Channel Manager, representing iconic brands such as Dewalt and Stanley. His passion for real estate was ignited through his first investment, converting a single-family dwelling into a legal duplex. This project marked the start of a series of successful investments and large-scale renovations.
A familiar face on HGTV, Dave has made appearances on popular shows including Renovation Island, Family Home Overhaul, Vanilla Ice Project, and Island of Bryan. Notably, he served as Project Manager and lead carpenter on Season 4 of Renovation Island, collaborating with celebrity builder Bryan Baeumler and designer Sarah Baeumler on transformative projects in Wellington, Florida. His earlier collaboration with the Baeumlers began during Season 1 of Renovation Island, where he managed extensive renovations at the Caerula Mar Ocean Club in South Andros, Bahamas. This role included overseeing construction crews from the USA, Canada, and the Bahamas to renovate custom villas, hotel rooms, and commercial spaces.
Dave also supervised the renovation of Sarah Baeumler Design Group's showroom on Palm Beach Island, Florida, showcasing his talent for interior design transformations. Today, as the owner of DC Luxury Builds, Dave specializes in luxury home improvements, renovation planning, and home design consultations.

Amanda began her journey into real estate at the young age of 19, managing seven luxury high-rise apartment buildings in the Northeast. Her portfolio included both residential and commercial spaces, where she handled everything from daily office operations and financial accounting to leasing units and leading building maintenance crews. Amanda’s hands-on experience with large-scale renovations and meticulous attention to detail seamlessly transitioned into her current focus on residential renovations. These early experiences laid the foundation for her exceptional ability to oversee complex projects and deliver outstanding results.
Before joining DC Luxury Builds, Amanda owned and operated a web development and marketing company specializing in boutique luxury fashion. This experience not only honed her skills in client relations and project execution but also developed her keen eye for aesthetics and detail. The parallels between the fashion space and the design space allowed Amanda to seamlessly transition her expertise into the luxury residential construction industry, where style, innovation, and functionality are paramount.
With a passion for creating elevated living spaces, Amanda continues to bring her dedication and expertise to every project, ensuring that each renovation reflects her clients’ unique visions while exceeding expectations.
